Who am I? Such a hard question to answer, don’t you think? I first see myself as a human full of love: for my wonderful husband, for our two handsome boys, for my family, our business, for photography and all things bright and beautiful. I want to share that love with the world, and I hope to do just that with Pradhan Studios. Our home is a warm place full of love – and it shows not only in our hearts, but all around us with the beautiful portraits of our family and our clients.
My favorite part of our process is getting to know you and how you would like to capture what you love. An event, your family, or maybe yourself – I want to help! Once your portraits are taken I’ll sit with you one-on-one to help you choose which images you love to keep and then choose the right products for you. I’m not going to just give you a CD burned with images so you can stress about what to print – or maybe not even print them at all because you’re so busy! I don’t want that. I want your photos to be out and ready to love and be shared with others. No stress. Just love.
I first started with photography in High School, where I was the photojournalist for the Yearbook for my Junior and Senior years. I continued my love for art and design at The Art Institute of Colorado and also at The Art Institute of California – Orange County, where I studied interior and graphic design.

As a father of two in Orange County, I enjoy finding joy, the seriousness, the real personality of every child and family I photograph. Up close, personal, these photos capture the real essence.
The love of my life and I have been married for 17 years this March. And two handsome boys later, I still find her my most beautiful subject.
Growing up in Nepal
As you may have guessed, I wasn’t born near the salt waters of Southern California, but in the Kathmandu valley of Nepal. One of our goals is to go back to Nepal and trek through the Himalayas, something I regret never having done while I lived there. Like we so often do in life, I did not appreciate the beauty that surrounded me during my youth. I hope to experience that beauty with my wife and our boys soon.
Nirzhar is a unique name, even for Nepal. The easiest way to say my name is by rhyming ‘near-far’ with Nirzhar (‘near-zaar’).
Art, Design and Photography in Orange County California
I’ve always been in art and design, starting my career almost 16 years ago – but photography with the elements of design is what has captured me. What propelled me into becoming a photographer in Orange County California was seeing the looks of happiness when I would give photos as gifts. These weren’t the fake ‘thanks’ smiles we all sometimes get when we give a gift they rather not get – but a truly happy and grateful smile.
